Lost & Found, Norm & New - Grado's Presence at Milan Design Week 2023
With new products, creative designs, and groundbreaking concepts, Grado made a stunning comeback to Milan Design Week. In the bustling city of Milan, where art and commerce coexist in harmony, we displayed our new designs and concepts with a focus on the people and work spaces and created our exhibition theme with a combination of our views on various spaces.

When one dwells in a circle for long, the circle shapes one's soul. The familiar faces, the quirks and habits, the rhythms and patterns - all become part of the NORM. But we, who craft beauty with our hands and minds, we must break free from the norm. We must seek out the strange and the NEW, the diverse and the rich, the cultures and the people that challenge and inspire us. Only then can we create something truly Grado.
What we’ve LOST and what we’ve Found are manifesting out there in this Grado furniture design event. Our Contract Collection designers are sensitive observers on globally spatial trends and think carefully about people’s emotions and opinions at this unconventional time. That was why we named this event: Lost and Found, Norm and New.

Products - Grado's Innovation & Imagination
Grado Design always took INSPIRATION from our own Chinese cultural group, picking up either ideas for our concept, or lines for our design. Grado’s furniture design naturally speaks for our identity, but in a whimsical, implicit manner. INNOVATION is never to be a hard thing for Grado as long as we hold an inclusively curious attitude toward the world’s richness and complexity. As an evidence, our exhibition includes designs by our partner independent designers and teams around the globe. Grado Design has been blessed with a powerful and empowering IMAGINATION to build the new order that allows us to actively engage with a vibrant, boundaryless world. In this Milan Design Week, we brought more than 20 new products for showcasing our innovation and imagination on furniture design.

Swell Sofa - Design by HiThanksBye
Swell Sofa is Inspired by the contour of Yuanbao (an ancient Chinese ingot currency made of gold or silver), Swell Sofa has a soft enveloping form. Together with high resilience foam, Swell Sofa offers you relaxing, hug-like wrapping. As the young generation are involuntarily involved in rat race, Swell Sofa provides a tangible spiritual shelter for them to rethink the definition of success and establishment, to find the inner peace.

Lamma Lounge Chair - Design by Claudio Beilini
Claudio Bellini's inspiration for the Lamma lounge chair is "minimalism, basics, and comfort", which fits perfectly with GRADO's design philosophy. The Lamma Lounge Chair combines clean lines, sophisticated design and functional functionality. The design of the chair conforms to ergonomics, and the soft fabric brings a comfortable seating experience, which can effectively reduce physical fatigue and pressure; the exquisite crimping process prevents the seat surface from wrinkling, and fully demonstrates the quality.

Beos Lounge Chair & Its Designer Michael Schneider (from designschneider)
Beos was designed to be a contemporary lounge chair used in many different settings. The higher version’s rounded shell and wing-liked headrest, along with the sound-absorbing fabric, offers an added privacy for concentration and withdrawing. While the lower version creates cosy and communicative atmosphere.

Beatles Lounge Chair - Design by And
Beatles Lounge Chair evokes the classic shape of a beetle. It features a sturdy frame of Nordic Akamatsu wood and a plush cushion of high-density foam. The exquisite upholstery, along with the curved elements of the beetle form, accentuates the smooth curve that resembles a beetle's back.
