Sustainable Materials

The global climate crisis significantly affects the development of the present era, and the furniture industry also bears the social responsibility of addressing environmental issues. Grado, with a sense of social responsibility, is committed to incorporating sustainable design principles into every product, advocating environmental awareness to users, and promoting green concepts.

Grado products adhere to sustainable design and use materials and fabrics certified by international standard organizations: we procure FSC-certified wood, an organization that utilizes market mechanisms to promote sustainable forest management, thereby achieving ecological, social, and economic goals; the fabrics we select are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified, endorsed by renowned textile testing institutes from fifteen countries worldwide, providing assurance for the ecological safety of our products.

Our Materials

FSC-certified forest wood: The Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certification ensures that the wood used in our products comes from responsibly managed forests that meet stringent environmental, social, and economic standards. This certification promotes sustainable forestry practices, including protecting biodiversity, indigenous rights, and workers' rights.

Recyclable materials: We prioritize the use of biodegradable plastics, which are designed to break down naturally over time, and will reduce environmental pollution, as well as minimize the impact on ecosystems. These plastics are made from renewable resources that can degrade into harmless byproducts, and contribute to a more sustainable product lifecycle.

Raw materials for these dyes are renewable or recycled, lessening dependence on non-renewable resources. Some fabrics are made from natural materials to minimize pollution, aligning with sustainable development principles.
